Shatoia Gober begins her third season as an assistant coach at Midwestern State in 2021-22.
Gober, who was a member of Midway High's 2009 Class 4A state title squad, returned to MSU after spending three seasons as a prep head coach at Christ Academy in Wichita Falls.

Gober is involved in guard development, while having a hand in practice and game preparation. In her first season on staff, Gober helped Elizabeth Cathcart earn second team All-LSC honors and Mica Schneider earn a third team All-LSC selection. In her second year, she helped Morgan Lenahan earn LSC Newcomer of the Year and first team All-LSC accolades while Frances King gained second team honors.

The Waco, Texas, native played a central role in MSU Texas' best four-year run as a member of NCAA Division II. The Waco native helped the Mustangs to 86 combined wins during her career, which included three NCAA Division II South Central Regional showings and a Lone Star Conference title in 2012-13.

She averaged a career-high 9.2 points and 5.7 rebounds a game during Midwestern's run to the South Central Regional final in 2013.

Gober earned All-Lone Star Conference honorable mention as a senior when she scored 8.9 points, grabbed 5.5 rebounds, and dished out 3.2 assists per game in 2014-15.

Gober graduated with a bachelor's degree in sport and leisure studies in 2016. She is working toward a masters in sports administration.
