Alexandria Howze enters her first season on the Midwestern State women’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant in 2018-19. In her role, she will assist with recruiting, scouting reports, community service and post development.
“I am extremely excited to start my coaching career here at MSU,” Howze said. “I look forward to working with each player individually and sharing my knowledge of the game from my own career and personal experiences. I also look forward to meeting all the fans, boosters and alumni.”
A native of League City, Texas, Howze arrives in Wichita Falls following a four-year playing career, with her final two seasons at NCAA Division III University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 2015-2017. She spent last season 2017-2018 as a Student Assistant Coach for her Alma Matter.
Playing Career
Played two seasons with The Cru, Howze played all 27 games at small forward, averaging 3.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game as a senior.
Howze played two seasons at the NJCAA Ranger College, 2013-2015, appearing in 50 games for the Rangers.
Howze had a standout prep career, earning two varsity letters at Clear Creek High School, as a captain during junior and senior campaigns. Alexandria earned the Leadership Award, while averaging 9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 assists per game. Freshman and sophomore years, she played at St. Anthony’s, in San Antonio.

Howze earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Mary Hardin-Baylor and is currently pursuing a master’s in Sports Administration.
