• served redshirt season.

At Eastern Illinois University

Freshman (2008)

• appeared in seven games and started four times in goal.
• recorded starts against Oral Roberts, Drake, Butler and Evansville.
• allowed nine goals and made 13 saves in 355:05 minutes of field time.
• played a role in two of the Panthers' six shutouts.
• did not allow a goal in his 45 minutes against Oral Roberts on Oct. 13, 2008 and in 25 minutes against Central Arkansas on Sep. 20, 2008.
• made three saves on three occasions, including three in 45 minutes at Butler on Oct. 21, 2008.

At Hebron High School

• four-year starter for coach Gino Ristevski at Hebron High School in Carrollton, Texas.
• two-time team captain as an upperclassman and was named the District 6-5A Defensive MVP as a senior in 2008.
• second-team all-area as a senior.
• garnered first-team All-District 6-5A honors as a junior in 2007 after being a second-team pick in District 6-4A as a sophomore.
• also played two years of varsity football and was a first-team all-district performer.
• earned academic all-state mention in football.
• member of the National Honor Society.

Mark, a business major, is the son of Debbie Essary of Carrollton, Texas... he was born Aug. 11, 1989...

• his Andromeda '90 club soccer team won two-straight USYS national championships in 2007 and 2008.
• was also a member of the North Texas state championship teams in 2006 and 2007.
• earned Texas Longhorns Loyalty Award from 2000-05.
