Emerson Lovato begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach in charge of goalkeepers at Midwestern State.

Lovato competed collegiately at Stainislaus State (Calif.) and California State-Los Angeles as an upperclassman following a two-year run at Merritt College.

He spent last season as the assistant coach at fellow Lone Star Conference member UT Permian Basin.

Lovato enjoyed a standout prep career at Oakland Tech High School in Oakland, Calif. where he was a two-time OAL Goalkeeper of the Year.
