LSC Defensive Player of the Week (1): 2/25/19

Junior (2018-19)

started each of MSU Texas' 28 games at forward… scored 9.8 points in 23.3 minutes per game… ranked second in the Lone Star Conference and 48th in NCAA D2 pulling down 8.6 boards per game… was second in the LSC and 81st in D2 reeling in 5.7 defensive boards per game... fourth in the league and 50th in the nation snaring 2.96 offensive rebounds a game... rated 10th in the LSC and 191st in NCAA D2 with 26 total blocked shots... scored in double figures in 17 games with six point/rebound double-doubles…  grabbed at least seven rebounds 14 times with 10-or-more on eight occasions… earned Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors after going for 16 points, 23 rebounds and six blocked shots in a 62-59 win over Cameron (2/19)… the 23 rebounds against Cameron were the second most in NCAA Division II this season and most for an MSU player since Khapri Alston had 27 points and 25 rebounds at Angelo State on Jan. 23, 2016… went for season-high 17 points on 4-of-5 shooting with two 3-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds – all in the first half – at Angelo State (1/26)… recorded first double-double of season with season-high 14 points with 11 rebounds against Science & Arts (Okla.) (12/29)… recorded a double-double two times against UT Permian Basin going for 13 points and 16 rebounds in the first meeting (1/10) and 12 points and 11 rebounds the second time (2/16)… scored 12 points against Adams State (11/17) and Eastern New Mexico (11/29)… recorded third double-double of the season with 11 points and an LSC single-game high 18 rebounds against Cameron (1/15)… recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds against Eastern New Mexico (2/2)… grabbed 15 rebounds against Southern Nazarene (11/23)… closed strong averaging 12.3 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 61.4 percent (43-for-70) from the field and 6-of-18 (33.3 percent) from the arc over the last 10 games…

At Angelina College

Sophomore (2017-18)

competed in 28 games making 23 starts at forward... ranked amongst JUCORecruiting.com's Top 100... averaged 13.5 points and 10.4 rebounds per game... shot 53.7 percent from the field (145-of-270) and 69.9 percent from the charity stripe (86-of-123)... scored at least 20 points in five games and was in double figures in 23 of 28 games... posted 13 point-rebound double-doubles... poured in season-high 30 points on 10-of-12 shooting while going 9-of-12 from the charity stripe and ripped down 18 rebounds in a 103-70 win over Arkansas Baptist (11/18)... booked 25 points with season-high 19 rebounds at Panola (1/8)... had 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting with 11 rebounds in a 77-75 win at Blinn College (1/31)...

At Murray State

Freshman (2016-17)

played in 18 games as a true frosh making one start at forward... averaged 3.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.7 minutes... scored 12 points and pulled down eight rebounds on 6-of-7 shooting in 23 minutes against Green Bay (11/19)... had 12 points and nine rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting against Bethel (Tenn.) (12/12)... went a perfect 6-for-6 from the field to finish with 12 points and four rebounds against Austin Peay (2/11)...

At C.E. King High School

a four-year starter for coach Luarence Muhammad at C.E. King High School in Houston, Texas... helped KHS to district titles in each of his four prep seasons... named to All-Greater Houston team as a senior... earned second-team Class 5A All-State honors... named South Texas Player of the Year averaging 27 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and four blocks in senior campaign...
