Bruce Bey begins his second season as a graduate assistant at Midwestern State heading into the 2020-21 season.

He proved to be a vital cog in current MSU coach Justin Leslie's two NCAA Division II West Region qualifying squads in his two seasons at Azusa Pacific.

Bey played in 32 games and made 24 starts at guard to average 11.6 points and 2.3 rebounds per game as a senior in 2015-16 as the Cougars claimed a second consecutive PacWest title to qualify for postseason play finishing with a 23-9 mark.

The season came on the heels of Azusa Pacific's 27-6 run during English's junior season of 2014-15. The 6-1 guard came off the bench in 33 games to average 6.5 points and shoot 40.5 percent from the 3-point line to help the Cougars to a 27-6 record on the way to PacWest Conference and NCAA Division II West Region titles on the way to APU's first D2 Elite Eight appearance.

Prior to transferring to APU, English competed two seasons at Division I Loyola Marymount. He appeared in 43 games including eight starts as a sophomore for the Lions.

Bey enjoyed a stellar prep career at LaVerne Lutheran High School helping the Trojans to two California Division III championships in 2010 and 2011 while sweeping to unbeaten league titles in each of his four prep seasons.
