a three-year letter winner for coach Byron West at Henrietta (Texas) High School... a two-time Times Record News Red River 22 Offensive MVP... rushed for 89 yards including a 48-yard touchdown run to lead East to a 35-6 win in the 2018 Oil Bowl Classic... garnered Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers' Association (TSWA) Class 3A All-State honorable mention as a senior in 2017 rushing for 1,319 yards and 11 touchdowns while throwing for 1,234 yards and 13 more scores to lead Bearcats to the UIL state playoffs... all named the Offensive Most Valuable Player for District 5-3A-II as a senior... tabbed District 5-3A-II MVP following breakout junior campaign -- his first full season as starting quarterback in 2016... ran for 1,447 yards and 20 touchdowns and passed for 1,404 yards and 17 TDs leading HHS to a 10-3 record, a district title and to the third round of the playoffs... earned District 2-3A Offensive Newcomer of the Year accolades after rushing for 319 yards and six touchdowns primarily at running back for Henrietta High's state quarterfinal team as a sophomore in 2015... also a standout on the baseball diamond earning first-team all-district honors as a senior and second-team mention following junior year splitting time in the outfield and at pitcher...
