a four-year standout for coach Todd Doughty at Electra (Texas) High School... closed out impressive prep career earning Max Preps' 2016 Small School All-America honors with 157 tackles including 44 for loss, 12.5 sacks and four forced fumbles as a senior in 2016... a first-team Associated Press Sports Editors (APSE) Class 2A All-State performer as a defensive lineman and was the District 7-2A Defensive MVP as a senior in 2016... also a first-team All-District 7-2A pick as a senior tight end... scored a defensive touchdown at the 2017 Oil Bowl high school all-star game at Memorial Stadium... was a secod-team Collin Street Bakery/TSWA Class 2A All-State performer and earned APSE Class 2A All-State honorable mention as a junior defensive lineman in 2015... a first-team All-District 7-2A selection as a defensive lineman and tight end in 2015... earned second-team All-District 7-2A honors as a sophomore tight end in 2014... a second-team All-District 8-1A pick as freshman center on the offensive line in 2013... also enjoyed a standout prep basketball career earning Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) 2A-Region II first-team accolades and was the District 9-2A Defensive MVP in both of his junior and senior seasons... a second-team All-District 9-2A pick on the basketball court as a sophomore and was honorable mention All-District 10-1A as a freshman...
