- A first-team All-District 2-3A receiver for coach Danny Servance at Estacado High.
- caught 11 passes for 262 yards with two touchdowns for the Matadors, averaging 23.8 yards a reception.
- also recorded 36 tackles, four interceptions for 103 yards with a touchdown, and recovered a fumble for a defensive touchdown.
- extremely athletic, excelled in basketball and track.
- named first-team All-District 2-3A in basketball in helping Estacado to the 3A State Semifinals as a senior.
- won a bronze medal in the long jump as a senior at the 3A State Championships with a leap of 23 feet, 1 1/2 inches.
- placed fifth in the triple jump at the State meet (46-4 3/4) and eighth in the high jump (6-4).
- won the Region I-3A titles in the long jump (23-1 3/4), triple jump (46-8 1/4) and high jump (6-4) as a senior.
