a three-year starter at quarterback for coach Joseph Sam at L.V. Hightower High School in Fort Bend, Texas... a unanimous District 23-6A MVP selection as a senior in 2015 passing for 1,692 yards and 16 touchdowns... led Hurricanes to a 10-1 record , a district championship and to the the UIL Texas Class 6A playoffs in 2015... named All-VYPE Houston honorable mention as a senior... helped Hightower High to a playoff showing in first year at the Class 6A level in 2014... earned District 23-5A Offensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore in 2013 leading the Hurricanes to the Area round of the playoffs... a consensus two-star recruit by 247Sports.com and Rivals.com...
