earned first-team APSE All-State honors after making 166 total tackles including 30 for loss with 5.0 sacks and 10 quarterback hurries for coach Seth Parr at Coronado High in Lubbock, Texas as a senior in 2016... led Mustangs to an 11-2 record and a Region I-5A-I Regional appearance as a senior... a second-team all-district performer at inside linebacker as a junior making a state-high 172 tackles with five for loss and 2.0 sacks... a second-team all-league honoree at defensive end making 44 tackles including 8.0 for loss and 4.0 sacks... finished prep career with 382 tackles in three seasons...earned two letters as a right fielder in baseball...
