  • served redshirt season.

    At Burkburnett High School
  • a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at running back and linebacker for coach Scott Boswell at Burkburnett (Texas) High School.
  • two-time Texas Class 3A all-state middle linebacker while helping Bulldogs to a Region I-3A finalist appearance in 2009 and a postseason showing in 2008.
  • earned first-team All-District 6-3A honors as a linebacker in each of his junior and senior seasons.
  • named to Times Record Red River 22 as a linebacker in 2008 and 2009.
  • finished senior season with 126 tackles, three fumble recoveries and an interception.
  • had a 93-yard touchdown run during senior season and rushed for five touchdowns against Decatur in the same season.
  • earned three letters in track & field competing in the 100-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay.
