• appeared in two games as a reserve at quarterback.

Redshirt Freshman (2007)

• appeared in six games as a redshirt freshman... completed 8-of-14 passes for 75 yards with an interception.
• scored first collegiate touchdown on a 14-yard keeper at Adams State on Aug. 25, 2007.
• made first career start at East Central on Sep. 22, 2007 and led team to a touchdown on first possession.
• completed two of three passes for a season-high 33 yards against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Oct. 20, 2007.

Freshman (2006)

• served redshirt season.

At West High School

• named District 8-3A MVP after leading coach Rick Wolf’s West (Texas) High School Trojans to the state playoffs for the first time in 12 years in 2005.
• passed for 2,109 yards and 15 TDs while rushing for 643 yards and nine more touchdowns as a senior.
• claimed the Region I-3A 110-meter high hurdle title before finishing fourth in Class 3A’s state meet with a time of 14.61.
