excelled on offense and defense as a two-year letterwinner for coach Jim Ledford at Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas... a first-team All-District 9-6A selection as a senior running back in 2017 rushing for 1,082 yards with nine touchdowns... ran for 100-or-more yards in six games with a 6.5 yards-per-carry average with a long run of 72 yards... made 15 receptions for 216 yards... also made 27 tackles with 11 solo stops, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble on defense as a senior... led defense as a junior in 2016 with 107 tackles with 53 solo stops, 13 tackles for loss, a sack, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and returned an interception for a touchdown as a starter at linebacker... competed in track with top times of 11.76 in the 100-meter dash and 23.91 in the 200... was on the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relay teams...
