Ty Cappi joined Midwestern State Football staff as a graduate assistant, working with the defensive line, in spring of 2026. Cappi comes to Midwestern State following a two-year stint as a defensive line student assistant at Sam Houston State, helping the program win the 2024 New Orleans Bowl. Cappi played one season as a defensive end at Sterling College. Cappi holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Sam Houston State.
