Travon Simmons begins his first season as a graduate assistant at Midwestern State in 2021 serving as an assistant defensive backs coach.
Enjoyed standout collegiate career as a two-year starter at free safety at East Carolina before transferring to West Georgia as a senior. In 33 games at ECU, Simmons made 105 tackles and was credited with 14 pass breakups and two interceptions.
Capped his career by making 35 tackles with an interception and eight pass breakups to help West Georgia to a 10-2 record and a trip to the NCAA Division II playoffs in 2018.
Simmons earned a bachelor's degree in finance from East Carolina in 2017.
