Rashad Phillips is in his first season on the staff at Midwestern State coaching the receivers.

Phillips comes to MSU from Franklin (Ind.) where he coached running backs for the NCAA Division III program in 2012.

Phillips played tight end at both North Carolina State and North Alabama.

Phillips has previously assisted coaching high school football and basketball.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was raised in Virginia Beach, Va.. Phillips graduated from N.C. State
with a bachelor’s degree in history in 2011.
