Cade Camp

Cade Camp, who played on the 2012 Class 5A Texas State Championship team at Allen High School, is in his first season as the offensive line coach at Midwestern State after spending a season in the same capacity on Kyle Shipp’s staff at Arkansas Tech.

During the 2022 season, the Wonder Boys were No. 12 in the nation with an average of 5.44 yards per carry and rushed for 205.7 yards per game, which was the 24th-best rushing attack in Division II football.

Arkansas Tech allowed the 11th fewest sacks in Division II last season with 11, and the Wonder Boys were fifth in the nation converting on fourth down 72 percent of the time (18 of 25).

Prior to his time at Arkansas Tech, Camp coached offensive linemen at Utah State and Arkansas State under head coach Blake Anderson.

In 2020 at Arkansas State, the Red Wolves led the Sun Belt Conference with 470.1 yards per game and were second in the nation among FBS schools with 364.4 yards passing.

The following season Anderson took over at Utah State, and Camp joined his staff in a similar capacity.

Camp began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at South Alabama under head coach Steve Campbell, who coached Camp at Central Arkansas.

Camp made 25 career starts as an offensive lineman for the Bears and was an All-Southland Conference first-team performer as a senior in 2017. Camp made two appearances in the FCS playoffs during his four seasons at Central Arkansas and was part of 40 victories as a player.

Camp was a two-time All-District and All-Area offensive lineman in high school. In 2011, Camp played at Petal High School in Mississippi and played with the Class 4A State runner-up. Camp finished his high school career in Allen, Texas.

Camp’s wife is Jordan, and the couple has two children — Witten and Palmer.
