-became Bushland High's starting quarterback as a junior following an injury and led team to the Texas Class 2A state title game.
-a two-time All-State performer at shortstop on the baseball diamond while leading BHS to consecutive state semifinal showings in 2009 and 2010 finishing as runner-up in 2009.
