- moved to tight end for the 2012 season, with seven starts and played in all 11 games.
- named honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference at tight end for the Mustangs.
- used primarily as a blocker, but caught three passes for 34 yards with two touchdowns.
- scored his first career touchdown on a seven-yard pass from Brandon Kelsey in the second quarter of the nationally televised game against Texas A&M-Commerce at Cowboys Stadium.
- scored again on a four-yard pass in the second quarter against Eastern New Mexico.
- caught one other pass for 23 yards and a first down against Incarnate Word.
