two-year letter winner for head coach Marty Murr… twice named 13-4A All-District quarterback…served as team captain for the Cougars, who reached the Regional Semifinals of the 2022 UIL Playoffs with a 35-21 victory over Port Isabel, as Knebel completed 14-of-20 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns, including a 72-yard strike to Jalani Price… completed 323-of-628 passes (51.4 percent) for 4,654 yards and 54 touchdowns with 19 interceptions for his high school career… threw for 2,861 yards as a senior with 32 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, completing 185-of-359 passes (51.5 percent) over 13 games… rushed for 254 yards on 31 carries over two seasons… carried the ball 25 times as a senior and rushed for 237 yards and six touchdowns, including a 73-yard run… punted for the Cougars as senior and averaged 43.9 yards on 10 punts… ran 100m and 200m on JV track team as a sophomore… 12.74 personal record in 100m and 25.29 personal best in 200m…
