competed in eight games starting the final seven games of the season at quarterback... led team in passing completing 98-of-220 passes for 1,736 yards with 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions... set program single-season record by averaging 17.7 yards per completion... completed passes with gains of at least 60 yards in five different games... recorded two 300-yard passing performances and went over 200 yards on five occasions... earned Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors throwing for 354 yards and tying a program single-game mark with six touchdowns in a 70-35 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville (10/19)... the 354-yard passing day (13-of-21) was the 11th best in program history... completed 19-of-40 passes for 306 yards and three touchdowns at Texas A&M-Commerce (10/12)... connected on 10-of-24 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-13 win over Western New Mexico (11/9)...

enjoyed standout prep career as a signal caller for coach Ralph Mason at Andrews (Texas) High School... accounted for 3,898 passing yards and 52 touchdowns with a 64-percent completion rate to earn District 2-4A MVP honors as a senior in 2016... led Mustangs to a District 2-4A Division I title and appearance in the third round of the Texas UIL Class 4A-I playoffs in 2016 with an 11-2 record... completed 241-of-395 passes (61 percent) for 3,975 yards and 56 touchdowns to earn Associated Press Sports Editor's Class 4A All-State honorable mention as a junior in 205... the District 2-4A MVP keyed Andrews High to Capture the District 2-4A crown in 2015 with a 10-2 record, advancing to the area round of the playoffs... passed for 253 yards and a touchdown connecting on 17-of-27 passes (63 percent) in limited duty as a sophomore in 2014... boasted impressive prep totals of 8,126 yards with 109 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with a 130.5 quarterback rating... the three-sport standout earned All-District 4-4A second-team honors as a pitcher on the baseball diamond following sophomore and senior campaigns... was a second-team All-District 4-4A performer in basketball as a junior in 2015-16...
