a three-year starter at quarterback for coach Jason Ferguson at Shelbyville (Texas) High School... a second-team All-District 10-2A pick as a junior in 2015... helped Dragons to consecutive state playoff appearances following sophomore and junior seasons reaching the state quarterfinals in 2015... a three-time All-District 22-2A first-team selection on the basketball court helping SHS to playoff showings in each of his four prep seasons including a run to the regional semifinals in 2016-17... earned second-team all-district honors in cross country as a sophomore in 2014 finishing 14th in the 22-2A meet with a time of 21:59.78... claimed a bronze medal at the 2017 Texas Class 2A Track & Field Championships in the triple jump with a distance of 45 feet, 6.75 inches...
