a four-year, two-way starter in football for coach Mike Hoskins at Hempstead (Texas) High School... earned first-team All-District 12-3A honors at quarterback and was a second-team pick at cornerback helping Bobcats to a bi-district showing as a senior in 2017... earned District 12-3A MVP honors as a junior in 2016 passing for 1,207 yards and 13 touchdowns rushing for 1,164 yards and 20 more touchdowns helping HHS to a bi-district appearance... garnered first-team All-District 14-3A accolades as a sophomore cornerback in 2015 and was a second-team pick at quarterback... earned second-team all-district mention as a freshman in 2014... all-around athlete was the District 24-3A Newcomer of the Year in basketball following sophomore campaign of 2015-16.. earned first-team all-district mention on the hardwood as a junior and senior... also a track standout finishing fourth in Region II-3A in the 400-meter dash in the spring of 2018 with a PR of 51.02... also sported a prep best time of 24.04 in the 200-meter dash... twice named academic all-district in football...
