started first four games of the season at quarterback... suffered season-ending injury at Angelo State (9/28)... connected on 71of-121 passes (58.7 percent) for 765 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions... posted a pass efficiency rating of 125.4... went 26-of-40 for 323 yards and three touchdowns while running for another score in first collegiate start -- a 33-7 win over FCS Northwestern State (9/7)... connected on 16-of-27 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown in a 28-27 win at Lindenwood (9/14)... was 16-of-32 for 156 yards and a touchdown in a 14-8 win over UT Permian Basin (9/21)...

served redshirt season... completed 4-of-10 passes for 15 yards and scrambled for an 11-yard gain for the Maroon squad in MSU's 2017 Spring Game...

At Kingwood Park High School

a three-year letter winner for coach Clayton Maple at Kingwood (Texas) Park High School... passed for 1,823 yards and 19 touchdowns in lone season as starting signal caller as a senior in 2015 while running for 290 yards on 64 carries... completed 25-of-46 passes for 385 yards and three touchdowns in a reserve role as a junior... also made 13 catches for 208 yards and two touchdowns from the wide receiver spot as a junior... played behind UTSA redshirt freshman quarterback Jaylon Henderson as a junior... a two-time all-region performer in basketball letting in each of his prep season at power forward while serving as a starter as a junior and senior... tabbed district's defensive player of the year as a senior on the hardwood leaving Kingwood Park High as the school's all-time rebounding leader... a two-time academic all-district selection in both football and basketball...
