earned All-Lone Star Conference honorable mention after appearing in each of MSU's 11 games making 10 starts at rover... finished season with 37 tackles including 19 solo stops, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, four pass breakups, two quarterback hurries and on fumble recovery... made season-high seven tackles, broke up two passes and had a quarterback hurry in a 28-21 win over Angelo State (10/15)... recorded five tackles and returned a fumble 26 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter of a 76-21 rout of UT-Permian Basin (10/29)... also logged lone sack of the campaign against UT-Permian Basin...

a two-time District 5-5A selection and three-year starter as a defensive back at Lewisville (Texas) High School... served as the team captain as a senior in 2012 while being named the Lewsville Defensive Player of the Year... tallied 102 tackles, four forced fumbles, three pass breakups and two interceptions in his final campaign... also lettered three seasons as a sprinter and relay team member in track & field...
