Sophomore (2017)
appeared in each of MSU's 11 games making two starts at cornerback... also saw extensive time as a reserve safety... logged 35 tackles including 17 solo stops, a tackle for loss, an interception and a blocked kick... made starts against Eastern New Mexico and Sioux Falls... made season-high six tackles in a 24-20 win over Sioux Falls in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs... had five tackles including a stop for loss in a 53-6 win over Quincy (Ill.) in the season opener (8/31)... also made five tackles in a 45-42 overtime victory over Tarleton Staet (11/4)... recorded first career interception against UT Permian Basin (10/28)... blocked a kick and made three tackles against Western New Mexico (9/30)...
Freshman (2016)
played in each of MSU's 11 games as a true frosh making six starts at free safety... eighth on the MSU defensive squad logging 39 tackles and 20 solo stops while breaking up two passes... took over the starting role at free safety in the sixth game of the season due to injury... made season-high seven tackles in a 43-22 win at Western New Mexico (10/1)... matched his season best with seven tackles in a 21-16 win at Tarleton State (11/5)... made five stops against Eastern New Mexico (11/12)...
At Ozen High School
competed final prep season for coach David Suggs at Clifton J. Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas... earned All-District 12-3A first-team honors at wide receiver at Kountze (Texas) High School as a junior in 2014 finishing season with 35 receptions for 737 yards and nine touchdowns averaging 21.1 yards per catch... also a second-team all-district performer at safety as a junior on his way to Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sportswriter's Association Class 3A all-state honorable mention at defensive back... garnered second-team All-District 10-2A accolades as a sophomore in 2013 at Kountze High... also lettered in basketball and track, advancing to the Texas UIL State Tournament in basketball under coach Duane Joubert at Kountze as a freshman in 2013... earned all-district honors in basketball and was a regional qualifier in track as a freshman...
