Biography

At Midwestern State

Senior (2009)

  • appeared in each of MSU's 12 games including eight starts at tight end.
  • finished season with seven receptions for 61 yards.
  • made two catches for 26 yards including a season long 14-yard reception in a 38-7 win over No. 7 Texas A&M-Kingsville on Oct. 17.
  • returned three short kickoffs for 29 yards.
  • integral part of an offensive line which helped MSU to rank 19th in NCAA Division II in total offense at 426.8 yards per game including 282.5 yards through the air (15th in NCAA II) and 144.3 rushing yards a contest (73rd in NCAA II).

Junior (2008)

  • appeared in nine games and made two starts at tight end.
  • recorded eight receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
  • caught first MSU touchdown on a 7-yard reception against Newberry (S.C.) on Sep. 20, 2008.
  • had a season-long 55-yard reception against Tarleton State on Oct. 11, 2008.
  • accounted for an 8-yard TD reception against Eastern New Mexico on Nov. 1, 2008.
  • made return to football after attending Kansas State University in the Fall of 2007.

At Garden City Community College

Sophomore (2006)

  • a preseason NJCAA All American at tight end.
  • garnered second-team All-Jayhawk Conference accolades after recording 18 receptions for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Freshman (2005)

  • garnered All-Jayhawk Conference honorable mention after making three catches for 47 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman.

At Garden City High School

  • a two-sport standout at Garden City (Kan.) High School where he earned all-state honorable mention in football and basketball.
  • a three-year starter at tight end and defensive tackle for coach Mike Smith on the gridiron.
  • started his junior and senior seasons in basketball.
  • competed in the javaline throw in track and field as a senior.
