- made season-high 13 tackles with eight solo stops including two tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble in MSU's 40-37 overtime win over No. 22-ranked Texas A&M-Commerce (10/25).
- made nine tackles and was in on a sack against Eastern New Mexico (9/20).
- had nine stops at West Texas A&M (11/1).

Sophomore (2013)
- started eight games and played in all 10 for the Mustangs at linebacker.
- second on the team in total tackles with 66 on the season, including 24 unassisted stops (fourth on team).
- second on the team with 4.0 tackles for losses of 12 yards.
- recovered one fumble with a two-yar return.
- recorded three 10 or more tackle games on the season, with one nine tackle contest.
- posted his season-high of 12 tackles at Eastern New Meixco, where he also recovered a fumble to halt a Greyhound scoring drive.
- posted 10 tackles in his first career start against Tarleton State in the Lone Star Football Festival at AT&T Stadium.
- tallied 10 tackles against Texas A&M-Kingsville that was regionally televised by Comcast SportsNet Houston.
- recovered an onside kick in the regionally televised game at West Georgia and returned it 15 yards to set up a game-clinching field goal for MSU.

-a three-year starter at linebacker for coach L.D. Williams at Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas.
- named Old Spice Player of the Year after making 115 tackles with three forced fumbles and five pass breakups as a senior in 2010.
- named a first-team All-District 15-5A performer as a senior after earning second-team accolades as a junior in 2009 and honorable mention as a sophomore in 2008.
- finished junior campaign with 101 tackles, four forced fumbles and an interception.
- had breakout season as a sophomore with 156 tackles and four forced fumbles earning All-CenTex honors from the Austin American Statesman.
- helped Maroons to postseason appearances in 2008 and 2010.
- earned academic all-district status in each of his prep campaigns.
