Biography

At Midwestern State

Senior (2010)
  • started in each of MSU's 12 games at strong safety.
  • led team for the third time in his four collegiate seasons at Midwestern State with 75 tackles including 32 solo stops and 4.5 tackles for loss while recording two interceptions and five pass breakups.
  • finished career as Midwestern State's all-time leader with 267 tackles including 104 solo stop, 13.5 tackles for loss, 17 passes defended, five interceptions and three blocked kicks.
  • recorded five-or-more tackles in nine games as a senior including a career-high 13 tackles in a 38-31 overtime win over Incarnate Word on Oct. 2, 2010.
  • made nine tackles in consecutive weeks at West Texas A&M on Oct. 23, 2010 and Tarleton State on Oct. 30, 2010.
  • recorded interceptions at Eastern New Mexico on Sep. 11, 2010 and against Northeastern State on Nov. 13, 2010.

  • led team with 74 tackles including five for loss to go along with a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interceptions, two pass breakups and two blocked kicks.

  • made season-high nine tackles in the first round of the NCAA Divison II postseason against Abilene Christian on Nov. 14 at Memorial Stadium.
  • made eight tackles while forcing and recovering a fumble in a 50-17 victory on Oct. 13 at Eastern New Mexico.
  • recorded a blocked kick against Northeastern State and Texas A&M-Kingsville.

  • started each of Midwestern's 10 games at free safety.
  • fifth on team with 49 tackles, including 14 solo stops.
  • recovered a fumble and had a pass breakup.
  • made season-high 10 tackles (seven solo) at Abilene Christian on Nov. 8, 2008.
  • had seven tackles and was in on one for a loss at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Oct. 18, 2008 and again at Central Oklahoma on Oct. 25, 2008.
  • recorded at least five tackles in six games.

    Freshman (2007)
  • earned second-team All-Lone Star Conference South Division honors as a true freshman after MSU with 69 tackles (35 solo) including 2.5 tackles for loss.
  • recorded two interceptions and broke up four passes... recorded three fumble recoveries, forced two fumbles and blocked a kick.
  • recorded at least seven tackles in six games.
  • named LSC South Division Defensive Player of the Week after making seven tackles and intercepted a pass on his first collegiate snap at Adams State on Aug. 25, 2007.
  • earned LSC South Division Defensive Player of the Week again after making five stops, forcing a fumble, recoving a fumble, breaking up two passes and blocking a kick against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Oct. 20, 2007.
  • had a season-high eight tackles at Angelo State, at Southeastern Oklahoma and against Abilene Christian.

  • first-team all-district selection as a senior after starting two seasons at free safety and wide receiver for coach Scott Smith at Rockwall (Texas) High School.
  • notched 98 tackles, intercepted a pass and broke up 10 others in 2006.
  • started three seasons on the soccer pitch at defender.
