- fourth on the Mustangs in total tackles with 52 (4.7 per game).
- led MSU with 7.0 tackles for losses (-33 yards), with 2.0 quarterback sacks (-13 yards).
- also notched two pass breakups.
- tallied eight tackles in a game three times during the season, at Texas A&M-Kingsville, at No. 18 West Alabama and at No. 12 West Texas A&M.

At James Madison High School

-a three-year starter for coach Ronald Johnson at Madison High School in Dallas, Texas.
-earned District 11-3A Defensive MVP honors after helping Trojans to a Texas Class 3A Division II postseason appearance as a senior in 2009.
-a four-year letterwinner on the baseball diamond while also competing in soccer in each of his four years during pre career.
-member of the National Honor Society.
