Senior (2013)

- started all 10 games at cornerback for the Mustangs, to total 20 consecutive starts.
- earned All-America honors for his performance from Daktronics (second-team), Don Hansen's Football Gazette (third-team), Beyond Sports Network (third-team) and D2Football.com (honorable mention).
- chosen first team All-Super Region 4 by Daktronics and Don Hansen.
- selected first-team All-Lone Star Conference by the league coaches.
- led the Lone Star Conference with five interceptions (.50 per game, 16th in NCAA II) for 131 yards (best in the LSC).

- ranked second in the Lone Star Conference and 43rd in NCAA Division II with four interceptions for 81 yards in returns and a touchdown.
- named Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the nationally televised game at Cowboys Stadium against Texas A&M-Commerce. He intercepted a pass on the first play of the second half and returned it for a touchdown to jump start MSU's 35-point third quarter.
- tallied a 24-yard pass interception against Incarnate Word and a 25-yard pickoff against West Georgia to go with his no yardage oskie at Angelo State.
- led the team with six pass breakups as well.
- he also recovered three fumbles on the season, to account for seven of the Mustangs 19 takeaways.
- ranked seventh on the team with 36 tackles, 26 unassisted.

- blocked a field goal in the NCAA II Playoff game at No. 18 Indianapolis, his second career field goal block and fifth career blocked kick.

Sophomore (2011)
-played all 11 games in the secondary, starting the first two at cornerback.
-named second team All-Lone Star Conference at cornerback.
-led the Mustangs with three interceptions and was fifth in the LSC in passes intercepted with pickoffs against Missouri S&T, Texas A&M-Kingsville and Angelo State.
-stood seventh on the team in total tackles with 46, ranking second on the squad in solo stops with 30.
-led MSU with a career high eight total tackles against in the 70-28 win over Abilene Christian.
-also recorded six tackles against Tarleton State and West Texas A&M
-blocked a pair of kicks during the year, swatting punts in consecutive games against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Incarnate Word.


Freshman (2010)
-appeared in nine games while making two starts at the free safety position.
-finished season seventh on the team with 38 tackles including 22 solo stops, 1.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, three interceptions, two pass breakups and two blocked kicks.
-named Lone Star Conference South Division Defensive Player of the Week after making six tackles while returning an interception 99 yards and blocking a field goal attempt in MSU's 31-26 win over Tarleton State on Oct. 30, 2010.
-named MSU's Most Outstanding Player in the Kanza Bowl with five tackles and a forced fumble while returning an interception 55 yards against Washburn (Kan.) on Dec. 4, 2010 in Topeka.
-posted a season-high 12 tackles at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 6, 2010.
-made five tackles, intercepted a pass and blocked a kick in first collegiate start at West Texas A&M on Oct. 23, 2010.



At Lamar High School

-named to Houston Chronicle's All-Greater Houston team as a senior in 2009.
-tabbed District 20-5A Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.
-chosen first-team all-district as a junior and second team as a sophomore at Lamar.
-snared 12 interceptions in his final two prep seasons with seven as a senior and five as a junior.
-was featured on ESPN Plays of the Day after making a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown in a 53-0 win over Houston Milby High School.
-selected honorable mention All-District 20-5A in basketball as a senior.
