At Mesquite High School

three-year letter winner, playing for head coaches Jeff Fleener and DeMarcus Harris… led the Skeeters in receiving for three consecutive seasons… caught 59 passes for 953 yards and 11 touchdowns and had three carries for 26 yards in his senior season… returned nine kickoffs for 172 yards, including a 36-yard return as a senior... returned seven punts for 79 yards in his senior season, including a 29-yard return... 10-6A All-District first-team as a senior wide receiver and return specialist... caught 48 passes for 666 yards and 10 touchdowns, and he also completed a 6-yard touchdown pass as a junior… caught seven passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-19 bi-district championship game against Sachse in his junior season… returned five kickoffs for 140 yards as a junior, including a 53-yard return... returned five punts for 51 yards during his junior season, including a 23-yard return... caught 29 passes for 428 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore… finished his career at Mesquite with 136 receptions for 2,047 yards and 18 touchdowns… competed in track & field for the Skeeters for three years... ran 200m, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay, 4x400 relay, Sprint Medley Relay 1600m... also competed in high jump, long jump and triple jump... personal record in 200m is 23.45...personal record in high jump is 6'0... personal record in long jump is 22'8"... personal record in triple jump is 46'1"
