Stang Gang Women's Basketball Podcast with Brenita Jackson

January 28, 2025
Find out what's happening with Midwestern State Women's Basketball during this week's Stang Gang Podcast, featuring head coach Brenita Jackson.

Midwestern State opened its four-game homestand with back-to-back wins over Cameron and Oklahoma Christian. The Mustangs moved over .500 in conference play with a record of 7-6 and won their seventh consecutive game at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Midwestern State is 8-2 at home and has won five of its last six games overall as it prepares to host Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M this week. The Mustangs suffered back-to-back two-point losses when they visited the Greyhounds and the Lady Buffs earlier this month. Randi Harding hit a driving layup with 1.5 seconds remaining as West Texas A&M won its first meeting with MSU, 69-67, and Ishuana Hunter hit a buzzer-beater for ENMU in a 56-54 victory two days later. Entering this week's play, West Texas A&M, Eastern New Mexico, Texas A&M-Kingsville and Midwestern State are all 7-6 in conference play, sitting a game behind fifth-place UT Permian Basin.
