Midwestern State is coping with a rash of injuries which has kept the Mustangs from playing their preferred style of basketball. The team is adapting after Aniyah Williams and Da'Lonna Choice both suffered injuries in the second game of the season at Central Oklahoma. The Mustangs were also without Caelyn Williams in their last game against East Central. In the 59-38 loss to the Tigers, Katy Greathouse was forced to leave the game due to injury.

The shorthanded Mustangs enter conference play this week as Angelo State visits D.L. Ligon Coliseum on Wednesday for a 5:30 matchup, and UT Permian Basin travels to Wichita Falls for a Friday matinee that tips off at 2 p.m.
