Midwestern State has a new tennis coach, but it's a familiar face to MSU Tennis fans. Luis Diaz is taking over the program after Scott Linn led the program for 15 seasons. Diaz played for Linn for two seasons and won 52 singles and doubles matches combined while at Midwestern State. Diaz played three seasons at St. Edward's and finished his collegiate career with a combined record of 114-75.

The native of Madrid, Spain, was the ITA South Central Region Senior Player of the Year and the LSC Senior of the Year in 2024. Diaz was also an ITA Doubles All American in 2024. He was a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete.

The new head coach is determined to maintain the winning tradition at Midwestern State.
