Midwestern State enters the Thanksgiving holiday with a four-game winning streak after holding off St. Edward's for a 63-62 victory in the final game of a four-game homestand. The Mustangs opened conference play by dismantling St. Mary's, 73-50. Midwestern State shot 47.5 percent from for the duration of the homestand and held its first two conference opponents to an average of 56 points per game. The Mustangs dive back into conference play on Dec. 4 with a trip to Dallas Baptist and face UT Tyler two days later. MSU is 5-1 to start the season with a 2-0 record early in the conference campaign.
