A special edition of the Stang Gang Podcast with head basketball coach Justin Leslie, who is preparing the men's basketball team for the BLIA Cup University Basketball Tournament Aug. 2-7 at the Kaohsiung Arena in Taiwan.

In the summer of 2018, Leslie took his team from Azusa Pacific to the Buddha's Light International Association Cup University Basketball Tournament in Taiwan and claimed the tournament title.  This summer, Leslie is taking the Midwestern State Mustangs to the unique event in Kaohsiung, a thriving international metropolis in southern Taiwan. MSU is representing the United States in a tournament that features collegiate teams from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia and China.

In the first of three Special Edition Stang Gang Podcasts prior to the Mustangs' departure, Leslie discusses the benefits of a foreign summer tour and presents some details about the trip.

The team is asking for donations to fund airfare, meals and the gift exchange following competitions. Those that are interested in making a contribution can learn more by clicking on https://giving.msutexas.edu/campaigns/msu-mens-basketball-trip-to-taiwan-2023.
