STANG GANG MEN'S BASKETBALL PODCAST with Justin Leslie (Feb. 4, 2025)

Stang Gang Podcast with Justin Leslie

February 04, 2025
A candid conversation with head basketball coach Justin Leslie, who shares his thoughts about the men's basketball team and previews upcoming action for the Mustangs.

Midwestern State rebounded from a tough home loss to Eastern New Mexico on Thursday night to complete a season-sweep against West Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon as the Mustangs improved their conference record to 10-4 with an overall record of 15-5. While St. Mary's and Dallas Baptist are atop the standings, Midwestern State is just a game behind third place Lubbock Christian and is tied in the loss column with UT Permian Basin. The Mustangs already have a win over the Falcons with another matchup coming up at D.L. Ligon Coliseum later this month, and the Stang Gang concludes the regular season with a home-and-home against Lubbock Christian. But first, MSU makes the arduous journey to Alpine, Texas, and Silver City, New Mexico, to face Sul Ross State and Western New Mexico. Midwestern State defeated both teams handily last month at D.L. Ligon Coliseum, but the team should expect a much tougher challenge when facing these teams on the road.
