Midwestern State improved to 3-1 in the Lone Star Conference with a 62-52 win over UT Tyler after losing a fast-and-furious clash with Dallas Baptist, 77-75, two nights earlier at Burg Center in Dallas. The Mustangs are 6-2 overall entering a non-conference matchup with St. Mary's at Bill Greehey Arena on Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Mustangs won their first meeting with the Rattlers on Nov. 21 — a game that counted in the conference standings — at D.L. Ligon Coliseum, 73-50, despite being outrebounded, 45-38. MSU is hoping to improve its rebounding as it winds down the 2024 portion of its schedule and gets ready for a rigorous conference campaign after New Year's Day.
