Head football coach RIch Renner has brought in a new crop of talented players and made some changes to the coaching staff in an effort to return Midwestern State to contending status in the Lone Star Conference. Renner is starting his third season as the head coach and discusses the state of his program as preparations begin for the 2026 season. The Mustangs were busy on National Signing Day, and the focus was getting players that were bigger, faster and willing to adhere to the Midwestern State culture.
