September 08, 2026
This week's Stang Gang Podcast features an in-depth look at Midwestern State Women's Soccer with head coach Ryan Spence.

Midwestern State went through the non-conference campaign with a 4-0-0 record and has not conceded a goal this season. Sloan Sullivan became the ninth different Mustang to score a goal this season as she broke through against Central Oklahoma on Sunday in the 64th minute. MSU defeated Central Oklahoma, 1-0, and extended its home unbeaten streak to 23 games. Now, the Mustangs hit the road to open the LSC portion of the schedule at UT Permian Basin on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Falcons have started the season with a 3-0-0 record and will be playing their fourth straight game on the UTPB Soccer Field. Midwestern State was 4-1-5 on the road last season and leads the all-time series with the Falcons, 14-1-1, winning all seven encounters in Odessa, Texas. MSU returns to the amiable environs of Stang Park on Saturday at 4 p.m. to face Eastern New Mexico, which has lost its last five meetings with the Mustangs and has been outscored in that span, 22-1, including a 5-0 loss in Portales last season.
