Mustangs are No. 2 seed in South Central Region and host Angelo State in preliminary dual

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State women's tennis is the No. 2 seed in the South Central Region and will hosts No. 3 seeded Angelo State in a preliminary-round dual on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. The winner will be one of 16 teams advancing to the finals, May 19-23, in Surprise, Arizona.

Midwestern State (18-6) won the 2026 Lone Star Conference Women's Championship with a 4-2 win over UT Tyler in the final, but the Patriots are the No. 1 seed in the region and will host Lubbock Christian in the preliminary round on Friday.

The Mustangs seek a measure of revenge for a 4-3 loss to Angelo State (19-3) at ASU Tennis Courts in late March. The Rambelles have to visit MSU Tennis Center for the postseason dual, and the Mustangs are 8-0 on home ground this season.
