RICHARDSON, Texas – Midwestern State and UT Dallas are moving their scheduled softball doubleheader at UTD Softball Field to Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. The games were initially scheduled for Sunday, but the weather forecast calls for the strong possibility of severe thunderstorms in the area.
Midwestern State (5-31, 3-23) is scheduled to play the Comets for the first time in the history of the program.
UT Dallas (10-20, 8-16) is 3-11 at home this season and is scheduled to play Lubbock Christian on Friday before the Mustangs pay their visit.
There is a 55-percent chance of rain in the forecast for both Friday and Saturday in Richardson, but the forecast exceeds 90 percent on Sunday with possible hail and damaging winds included in the Sunday forecast.
