WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Midwestern State pairing of Camila Garcia and Jasmine Crain were selected as the Lone Star Conference Women's Doubles Team of the Week. 

It is the second straight week that a duo from MSU received the award. Last week, Selin Sepken and Emilia Gyorgy were bestowed the honor. Garcia was named the LSC Singles Player of the Week on Feb. 25.

Garcia and Crain went 3-0 this past weekend at the LSC/Gulf South crossover event in Tyler, Texas. 

Playing on the second line for the No. 5-ranked Mustangs, Garcia and Crain defeated Valentina Mutilba and Jenaila Prulla of West Alabama, 7-5. 

The following day, Garcia and Crain waltzed to a 6-1 victory over Mercedes Garcia Cid and Allison Blanco of Auburn Montgomery.

Garcia and Crain closed out the weekend with a 6-3 triumph over Guadalupe Martinez and Aline Midori of No. 2-ranked West Florida.

The No. 5-ranked Mustangs lost two of three dual matches in Tyler, but MSU won the doubles point against West Florida and Auburn Montgomery over the weekend. 

Crain and Montgomery are 7-0 in doubles matches this season, and the 4-3 Mustangs have claimed the doubles point in six of seven dual matches.

Midwestern State is scheduled to play Northeastern State at the NSU Tennis Complex in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on Tuesday. First serve is scheduled for noon.
