WICHITA FALLS, Texas – A trio of Midwestern State Women's Tennis earn LSC Player of the Week recognition.
Camila Garcia was named LSC Singles Player of the Week, while
Selin Sepken and
Emilia Gyorgy combined to earn LSC Doubles Team of the Week
Garcia was perfect at line three for Midwestern State, going unbeaten including a nationally ranked win over No. 11 Washburn. The Cali, Colombia native was also perfect in double play, combining with
Jasmine Crain on line two, to go 3-0.
At line one doubles, Sepken and Gyorgy finished 3-0 over the weekend, clinching the doubles point against No. 11 Washburn with a 6-4 comeback victory. The pair combined for three wins in singles play, as the Mustangs went 2-1 as a team.
The No. 12 Mustangs face a tough weekend, battling three top-25 teams in Tyler, Texas. The Mustangs begin the weekend against No. 3 West Alabama on Friday, February 27. MSU will face No. 25 Auburn-Montgomery the following day, February 28, and then the Mustangs will face No. 2 West Florida to conclude the weekend trip, March 1.
