EDMOND, Okla. – Midwestern State takes a five-match unbeaten streak into its Lone Star Conference match at Oklahoma Christian on Wednesday night but is still seeking its first away victory of the season. Kickoff at Eagle Soccer Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Mustangs (2-1-4, 2-0-2) are 0-1-4 on the road this season following a 2-2 draw with Texas Woman's on Saturday night.
Nyxalee Munoz scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the 14th minute, and MSU took a 2-0 lead after the Pioneers' own goal in the 32nd minute. Alyssa Striker and Giselle Gutierrez scored second-half goals for TWU to earn the draw.
It was the third-straight away draw for the Mustangs, whose only loss of the season came at Ouachita Baptist on Sept. 7, when the Mustangs erased a 2-0 deficit but conceded the game-winning goal in the 89th minute.

Tanner Sorenson has played the last five matches for the Mustangs and is 2-0-3 with a 1.20 goals-against average. She has eight saves with six goals allowed and a save percentage of .571.
Lillia Besedin and
Marlene Myrvold have each scored two goals for the Mustangs, and
Madison Brinkley has a goal and an assist.
Morgan Countryman has assisted on two goals in her first seven collegiate matches.
Munoz, who assisted on a Besedin goal in a 1-1 draw at Texas A&M International, leads the team with seven points this season.

Midwestern State leads the all-time series with Oklahoma Christian, 7-2-4, but is winless in the last six meetings. The Mustangs are 1-1-2 when visiting the Eagles, but MSU has not won when visiting Oklahoma Christian since 2013, when it scored a 3-0 victory.

Cassidy Savoy — assisted by
Sloane Sullivan and
Isabella Cruz — scored in the 22nd minute, but OC netted the equalizer with a Caid Jefferson goal in the 80th minute, and the two sides played to a 1-1 draw.
Four of the last five meetings have resulted in a draw. The Eagles pulled out a 1-0 victory when they visited Stang Park in 2022. Mannon Ceresola took advantage of a turnover in Midwestern State's defensive third to deliver the only goal of the match in the 8th minute.
Two years ago, Savoy scored in the 7th minute at Eagle Soccer Field, but the Mustangs conceded a goal in the 79th minute and played OC to a 1-1 draw.
Oklahoma Christian (4-2-1, 2-1-0) had a five-match unbeaten streak snapped with a 2-0 loss to Angelo State on Saturday and saw its home record fall to 1-1-1.
Caid Jefferson leads the Eagles with nine points on three goals and three assists through seven matches. Jefferson scored both goals as Oklahoma Christian scored a 2-0 victory at St. Edward's to open its conference campaign.
Zoe Ross scored two of her three goals in a 3-0 triumph at Sul Ross State last week. Ross had a goal and an assist in the Eagles' 2-2 draw with Newman. She also assisted on Jefferson's second goal at St. Edward's and is second on the team with eight points.
Sophie Placke has scored three goals for the Eagles, but she has been held scoreless since a two-goal outburst in a 3-1 victory over East Central. She also assisted on Lyla Marrs last-minute goal in a 3-2 loss at Colorado Christian in the season opener.
Goalkeeper Breanna Wooten has played all 630 minutes for the Eagles and has posted three clean sheets, including two in conference play. Wooten has made 22 saves while conceding eight goals this season, and she has a save percentage of .733 with a goals-against average of 1.14.
No team in the LSC has seen more yellow than Oklahoma Christian, which has been booked 12 times in seven matches. Ruta Andrews, Jaycie Daggs and Zoe Ross have each been carded twice this season.
Midwestern State returns home on Saturday morning to face St. Edward's at Stang Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
