BOULDER CITY, Nevada -- Junior Alli Reily carded a 1-under 71 in the second round to lead Midwestern State to a 7-over team total of 295 in the NCAA Division II Championships Wednesday afternoon at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.

The team effort has the Mustangs in a group of five teams within a single stroke with three teams tied with 8-over team totals of 584, while MSU and Grand Valley State are tied for 11th just one stroke back.

The top eight teams following Thursday's third round of stroke play advance to medal match play which begins Friday morning.

Reily logged her eighth par-or-better score of the season, registering five birdies on the way to a 1-under 71 after carding a 76 in the opening round. The Pottsboro, Texas, native moved into a tie for 44th place with teammates Makenna Henry (74-73) and Mary Kerr (70-77) with matching, 3-over totals of 147.

Senior Brecklyn Flanagan became the second golfer in program to reach 200 career birdies on her first hole of the day. She added three more to end up with a 2-over 74. The performance came on the heels of a 2-under 70 in Tuesday's first round. She is tied for 17th with an even-par total of 144.

Sophomore Madison Wert (80-78) stands 90th with a 14-over total of 158.

California State, San Marcos junior Madison Murr tops the individual leader board with an 11-under total of 133 after carding impressive scores of 69 and 64 to take a five-stroke lead over West Texas A&M's Anna Nomrowski (68-70) and Dallas Baptist's Ella Cheek (68-70).

California State, San Marcos tops the team leader board with a 12-under, 36-hole total of 564. The Cougars lead Dallas Baptist by three strokes.

Midwestern State draws an 11:10 a.m. (Central) tee time for the final round of stroke play on Thursday morning.
