ROCKWALL, Texas — Midwestern State golfers combined to shoot four par-or-better rounds, and each of the four were in the top 10 on the individual leader board through opening 36 holes of the Lone Star Conference Championships Monday at the Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club.

The Mustangs accumulated team totals of 293 and 294 for an 11-over 587 to stand third behind on West Texas A&M (580/+4) and St. Mary's (583/+7). MSU holds a nine-stroke edge over Dallas Baptist, which logged a 20-over 596.

The top four teams from the stroke play portion of the event move on to the medal match semifinals set for Wednesday morning, with the winners squaring off for the league title in the afternoon.

MSU junior Alli Reily, a third-team All-LSC performer, logged scores of 71 and 75 for a 2-over 146 to tie for fifth, while seniors Makenna Henry (75-72) and Brecklyn Flanagan (75-72) joined sophomore teammate Madison Wert (72-75) in tie for eighth place with a 3-over total of 147.

Junior Kodi Nolen logged a 6-over 78 in the opening round, before substitute Mary Kerr scored a 10-over 82 in the second round.

West Texas A&M's Gam Songprasert rose to the top of the individual leader board with scores of 69 and 71 for a 4-under 140 to take a two-stroke lead over Savannah Dupre (71-71) of St.Mary's.

Texas A&M International's Margret Nyamukondiwa (71-72) and UT Tyler's Emmerson Doyle (72-71) are tied for third with a 1-under total of 143.

The final round of stroke play at the Lone Star Conference Championship begins with a shotgun start Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
