WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State has a seven-game unbeaten streak, and has won four of its last five matches, as it welcomes West Texas A&M to Stang Park for a Lone Star Conference clash on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
Midwestern State (4-1-4, 4-0-2) overcame a one-goal deficit and survived being a player down after 
Binky Mendez was shown a red card in the 58th minute to defeat St. Edward's on Saturday, 2-1. 
Nxyalee Munoz scored her fourth goal of the season, and 
Marlene Myrvold scored the game-winning goal, assisted by 
Mable Pruter on a free kick, in the 74th minute. 
The Mustangs outshot the Hilltoppers in the second half, 8-1, and had five shots on goal, while holding St. Edward's to two shots on goal.
Munoz is the leading goal scorer for the Mustangs this season with four, and she leads the team in points with nine in nine matches.
Myrvold is second on the team with three goals and six points. 
Madison Brinkley and 
Lillia Besedin have both scored twice. Brinkley also has an assist and is third on the with five points.
Alinessa Salinas has a goal and an assist, while 
Morgan Countryman and Pruter each have two assists for the Mustangs.
Midwestern State is 25-25-3 in its all-time series with the Lady Buffs and won the meeting at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas, last season, 1-0, as 
Lexi Beck converted a penalty kick in the 63rd minute.
The Mustangs are 3-0-0 at home this season and have won 15 of their 21 meetings with WT at Stang Park, including a 3-1 victory two years ago as 
Allessandra Romano scored the game-winning goal in the 74th minute.
West Texas A&M (4-4-1, 1-4-0) arrives in Wichita Falls with losses in four of its last five matches and is 2-2-0 on the road this season. The Lady Buffs are coming off a 2-0 loss at Angelo State on Saturday afternoon.
West Texas A&M has outscored its opponents, 16-13, this season and is outshooting the opposition 118-91. WT has put 65 shots on goal, while its opponents have put 49 shots on goal.
Aaliyah McPeak leads the team with eight points from three goals and two assists. Five other players have scored two goals this season, and Bailey Malone has two assists for the Lady Buffs.
Jezmin Castellanos Reyes, Jade Martinez, Alair Posard, Avery Putnam and Lawrencia Yeboah have all scored twice for West Texas A&M.
Sarah Hernandez Lopez has a goal and an assist this season for the Lady Buffs, who have averaged 1.78 goals per game.
Franciezca Blancaflor has been the primary goalkeeper for WT this year and is 4-3-1 with a goals-against average of 1.53 and a save percentage of .733. Blancaflor made seven saves in 75 minutes of play, facing 14 shots and allowing two goals against Angelo State on Saturday.
